My Dell pc's hard drive failed and i received no back up disks so borrowed an xp home disk from a friend. When i enter the product key from the sticker its not accepted. Can anyone help me with key or tell me how i can input the dell key into this system.

is the sticker (key) for xp ?????

if it is maybe its for proffesional and not home,you might need the
windows proffessional os

Stickers definitely for home version, I think the problems because it' s an oem sticker and my disks a retail. Any ideas?

look for a version on any d/load sites
