    Hi
Please I need help with my pc it starts up nicely when I am using it i will all of a sudden hear it beep like a timer than it restarts all by it self.

I dont no if this is anything to do with the power supply watts the one i had before was 400w and the one i put now is 300 I think this could be the problem but still need help

It is probably a over heated microprossesor. PC shuts down itself if microprossesor temperature is so high. Check cooler fan of it. It could be a problem if cooler fan is not turning or very slow.

Yeah sounds like overheating. Check if there is any dust on CPU cooler, clean everything. If this doesn't help, you'll have to remove the cooler, clean CPU and put new thermal paste.

Before doing all this, i recommend to use some software (like EVEREST or similar) to watch the temperatures.

Yes, it is good idea to check thermal paste because it gets dry because of overheating.

Download a monitor software for the motherboard. Another option could be a GFX/RAM issue, best getting make & model of motherboard and looking into it from there.

If its overheating, get a can of air from a pc shop or asda, blow out all dust from heat sinks ect

More than one occasion i've come home with some pc from some where and it is black with thick manky dust, have just dunked them in the sink (seriously)
squirted the board with UB40, dryed off with heater, used next day.

At least 2 have done that to, but don't reccomended it, they were both free!

              removed psu and drives btw
