need some more information guys, such as model number etc, depending on the spec, and laptop, it could be the graphics card, i have a dell xps and the graphics card is now dead, the screen doesnt display anything, and the laptop powers up fine, but i know its a common fault with the XPS i have and it can be expensive to replace it, so without knowing what model of Acer you guys have i couldnt tell you off the top of my head, so need some more info guys please.

also dependant on models, acer laptops are a nightmare to work with, and most common fault with them is the power board where the D/C adaptor (mains plug - charger) connects to they are poorly designed and dont last very long, sods law they only last up untill the warranty runs out which is typical.

Hi mate. Its an Acer Apire One ZG5. The laptop powers up fine. The power indicator lights up, the fan is running but that is all, the screen is blank and the status indicator for the HDD isn't on aswell as the wireless com indicator. If its the graphics card it will be cheaper than the quote i got to repair it( it would be cheaper to buy a new one). I hope this is enough info.
