    anyone tell me how to go about setting up a vmware on me main pc which has got xp pro,80 gig hdd.768 of ram.. is there a special way to set it up, i fancy experimenting with it to see if it suits my needs ... whats difference between a workstation and a server

    I used to have vmware on my old PC. It was the Player version and worked fine.



    I had ubuntu on it for creating dreambox images, worked very well.

    Can't really remember how I set it up, it was a few years ago. Should install like any other application.

      thanks kaos got a couple of projects lined up one is to get me missis lappy working (a long story),try and learn how to use linux, maybe try mod/or create an image
