when the daughter turns on her laptop the cursor shakes its way to the top of the screen and stays there.i normally have to switch the lappy on and off for it to stay centralised.
any suggestions please?
could be a driver problem, check too see what trackpad driver you have synaptic or maybe alps touchpad driver software, go to the support site and download, uninstall the driver/reinstall or maybe the trackpad itself is faulty, something spilt or hard wear, i got a toughbook with a simular trackpad fault, its just erratic....you could always do a system restore as a last ditch effort too before the problem started...other than that use a usb mouse untill you find a resolution..
