    ASUS A8N NO VIDEO

My comp has an Asus A8N-SLI MOBO and the chip fan stopped working. By the time I had a new fan there was no display so I thought I had blown the chip. I bought a second hand A8N-SLI MOBO off ebay and it has worked fine for a couple of months and now the display has stopped working again. Is it the chipset or is it something else.
I have put the hard drive from this pc into another pc both running windows xp and both sata hard drives. The idea was to save the info from my old pc pics etc but the pc I put it into freezes as soon as it starts. How can I get the info off my old hard drive.

if you get no beeps it usually indicates faulty mobo or cpu.

regarding the backup disable the main hard drive in other computer and do a reapir install on your hdd that is crashing your system it should then run as your main hdd and you can back up files from there. hope this helps.
