external 500g hard drive problem

im trying to format my seagate external hard drive to fat32 so i can use it on my humax freesat box for more media storage. its a 500gig and i run windows vista but vista wont give me the option of formating to fat32. i have tried to format via comand prompt but after an eternity of waiting it gives mre the error that the device is to big to format. can anyone help

thanks already tried that via comand prompt. ive managed to sort it using seagate device manager
