got a toshiba sattelite pro laptop, can be running then just reboots this happens intermittently it blue screens and get,media test faliure pxe e61 message thats all i can read prior to faliure before system reboots because it happens so fast.....has anyone got any idea what could be the problem.tried running windows checkdisk but reboots part way through.

Hi This issue is often caused by either an incorrect setting in BIOS or a bad boot device, such as a bad hard disk drive. -
Last one i worked on was the HDD. Guessing here it has a SATA drive in it. Try testing with another HDD see if it goes pass the MEDIA TEST FAULT then switch off if it does. Passes that then possitive your HDD is gubbed.Comment

removed battery, just ran on power alone.for about 4 hours seems ok now. will put back batt tomorrow and see what happens.(ran windows checkdisk reported ok.).Comment
