convertxtodvd won't burn

Hi my convertxtodvd won't burn. It will convert ok but freezers everything when it comes to burning. Tried installing a new version but get same results. It says burn started but the bar at the bottom doesn't appear and just freezers. After converting have burnt with nero but disk won't work on dvd players. Was working fine in past but now not. Any advice please.

it sounds like a bad copy of convertxdvd. i downloaded a few copies before i got a good copy. i would uninstal and try another one first.. i would also try diffrent makes of blank disks, try some better quality ones. i'm not sure what you mean by "freezes everything" if you mean the program freezes and stops working, then its prabably a bad copy of convxdvd

Tried different disks but these have always worked in past. When i say freezers i mean i have to reboot pc as it won't allow anything to work ie. can't even leave program, might do as you suggest and try another download.

is nero burning rom installed?

You could just set it to record to an iso then use imgburn to burn the convert

sounds like a bad download, look in "general pc chat" i noticed a link to a copy of convxdvd

Also either set it to record to an .iso and use imgburn or cancel the burn and use nero to butn the video_ts an Audio_ts folders

Hi nero is installed but when i burn with this it won't work on dvd players. Sorry for my dumbness but can't follow rest of your answer thanks Donka.

hi donka,

use a program called winavi 9.........

it will convert a bit quicker then convertx

then you can use nero to burn the video ts vobs within that
folder then

if it fails and freezes on this .... you more than likley need
to update your codecs

Thanks for your help. Convereted using winavi then burnt using nero but it warned me before burning that it will result in a dvd that won't play on dvd's or something like that and sure enough the dvd will only play on my pc. It did say to do something but i've forgot what untill i try it again thanks Donka.

if you have nero, click on startsmart, then make your own dvd-video, select your avi's. nero should convert and burn them just like convertxdvd (quaility not as good). should work in any dvd player. ive done it loads of times , works on cheap/expensive old/new players

Hi thanks for your help i've never tried that before, unfortunately startsmart now need you to buy the product and enter key any advice will be great.
