TomTom go710 Wont turn on

I have a TomTom 710 that wont turn on but when i charge it the green light comes on... any suggestions???

yeah, the word on the town is it's been overcharged, look it up, but think, you press his reset button, whilst pressing the power on button.

OR

just leave it to fester in a cupboard for a week and HOPE it works!

ive had two tom toms with that exact fault, i took both of them apart out of curiosity, both of them had burn't components on pcb.
