What happens when you double-click a .gif file?

It should just launch InternetExplorer ... and show the animated image.

The animation will only show under software environments that support this... I'm not sure about Paint Pro, assuming it's an image editing program.

open IE, then open Tools-Internet options-advanced. Make sure the "play animations in webpage" box is ticked. then restart Explorer

wise woman that you are, . in the address bar in Firefox type about:config ,then enter. find a string called image.animation mode and change the value to "normal"(no quotations)

to see all images there are really fine program "Irfanview", it is small, free with many plugins for some "hard" images as camera raw formats, photoshop, corel and so on.

link : IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide
