Why not download Ultimate OEM version. Saves hassle. Still get all the features.

There is also other ways to remove the WGA and watch what you update in the future.

Tried about 5 different loaders, all without success (other than removing the watermark).

                Need a miracle ..

loaders wont work when you already have the genuine problems

format and reinstall and omit update 1033

mind you have a pc on test with 1033 on and still OK

removed update and did a system restore, so have got a month to sort it out.

                      Thanks for the help.

                      Cheers

                        Finally sorted !!,

Had one last ditch attempt, but the system restore helped in the end. So from being buggered the correct steps seemed to be:

                        1. Removed update KB971033
                        2. Hid update KB971033 (by running windows update, but deselecting this particular update)
                        3. System restored to point before the update (earliest available)
                        4. Removed MS Security Essentials
                        5. Installed AVG (and created new system rstore point)
                        6. D/L and ran Daz 1.8 loader and selected install option.
                        7. Reboot changed status to activated !!!

                        Phew !

                        Thanks to all for help.

                        Cheers
