    my 120gb hard drive is showing up 13gb, please help

    hello my hard drive is showing up as 13gb.

    reason is cuz i hex edited it but now it will not let me edit again.

    is there a way to reformat it and get all the memory back?

    when i try using the xp cd to format it says no memory so i cant even put xp on it.

    please help

      Get Hiren's BootCD, Get the brand of the HD (Seagate, fujitsu, etc) Boot to Hiren's, go to Hard Disk Tools and find the matching Hard disk utility. Then perform a FULL low level format, sometimes call 'ZERO FILL' format. This should set every bit back to zero just as you original bought it.
