Win xp does not come with a standard decoder.

This software is okay. But I much prefer Free DVD Decoder. It more fast.

Have a try with VLC player, for sure that will help

exactly what i was about to post

and may i add that VLC (video lan) player comes with most codecs and will play just about anything you throw at it
i use VLC as my all around media player

VLC is by far the easiest and best solution to this problem.
