    My DVD-RW is so slow its driving me nuts.....

    Guys i have a

    LiteOn LH-20A1S 20X SATA DVD?RW/DL Black Bare Drive - OEM

    and it takes bloody ages to write an audio CD (upto 45 mins in some cases) any ideas on how can i speed this up..?

    i remeber there being a patch released by someone yonks ago on tinternet yonks ago.. it was called some like HIghMat or sumin...

    can anyone shed any light on this...?

      Sorry I'm not familiar with that model. I take it you have already checked the manufacturers website for updated drivers. Some burning software also has the option to do a drive speed check, so that it can burn at the fastest speed.

              use highmat extension for windows media, or use software like nero - usually bumps up drive speed by about 20% (well i've found anyway!)
