sony are notorious for overpriced spares.

for cheapness - ebay is your best bet or some 3rd party one - but they'll still be expensive.

My advice is,do not buy on the cheap. I have seen a laptop fizzle and die from a chinese Ebay battery. Buy from a reputable seller such as Maplins and you will be fine.

I have used duracell direct for my HP laptop battery. I could have bought the same battery from ebay for ?5 less but I wanted to buy from a reputable company.
The battery came with year warranty. Had a little problem with it few months later but got a new one after couple of days no question asked. "Five Star Customer Service"
