ie8 32bit

hi there,hope some1 can help me with this,i have a 64bit pc running w7 ultimate,and my ie8 wont open only the 64bit browser works,ive tried loads of fixes but cant get it to work,ive run virus and spyware,malware programs but it still doesn't work and help would be great,thanx

if you are running a 64 bit computer you need 64 bit ie8, 32 bit one wont work on 64 bit os.
try firefox 4, works a treat on 64 bit win7.

ezzda1 i ran the 32bit for months and my farther inlaw has the same system as me and he still uses 32bit,thanx anyway

try this
1. Go to start
2. Type cmd in searchbox, right click cmd prog and run as administrator
3. Type this:

netsh winsock reset

4. press Enter
5. Restart



if that doesn't work check your firewall settings,

I just built a new i7 930 system running Windows 7 Professional. If I go to the start button and choose all programs I have two Internet Explorers listed. One is the 32 bit and the other is 64 bit. If I choose the 32 bit, it opens and runs great. I have issues with the 64 bit version on some websites and with add ons such as adobe.
