    Take the battery off,
plug the charger into the laptop without the battery connected,
turn the laptop on, when it's finished starting up, shut it down, unplug the charger, put the battery back on and try it.

You may want to check your bios configuration, maybe that could help

Right when you turn on laptop, when windows are not loaded you should see something like "Press F1 for setup" or something like that, it may be not F1 also.... But i'm not sure if there's a solution...

Load into windows, set power saving options to suit your needs, disable sleep mode ect. Also boot into the bios and check there is nothing there that could be causing the laptop not being able to wake from sleep mode.
