Download and install Spybot Search & Destroy.

Run the update first so that you have the latest definitions then do a scan.

That should clear up any trojans and worms.

Sometimes connectivity problems can be down to the TCP/IP protocol stack getting corrupted because of virus/spyware.
You can download a small utility called Winsock fix that will repair this (Google winsock fix) then I would restore factory defaults on your internet explorer (Clicking on tools/internet options/advanced. Then I would download Mozilla firefox if you still have problems. Then do a search for superantispyware on google & download the free version which has a homepage protection option & run a scan with that

If you download a program called "IE Hijack Remover" it will set all your default searches and homepage back to normal and will kill any malware that is messing with internet explorer. . .

Another Good Utility to use is, HijackThis do a search on google to download it & run it on your system removing any objects that are not meant to be there. if you dont know how to use hijackthis, search for a guide on the net, its easy to use once u know how. or you could use Webroot Spysweeper, thats a great little program that will help you remove spyware and some trojans from your system. with either one of these two programs and running a good anti-virus / firewall you cant go wrong.
                good luck.

get a bundle of cleaning/protection apps

                  adaware
                  spybot S&D
                  spyware blaster

all free and very effective, will get rid of the crap u seems to have gathered from driveby downloads

remember to turn of system restore before doing a clean with malwarebytes, also do a scan in safe mode as well as normal mode.

I allways finish off witha smitfraud fix as well just in case your dns has been redirected.
