laCie 750 gb external hard drive !!!!

Hopefully this is the right place , I was using this for about 8 months its always been plugged into the pc , All of a sudden i get up on Saturday morning theres nothing there , I tryed it another pc but when i plug it it to the usb theres nothing happining on either comp , Also tryed a new usb cable but nothing the comp just dont recognise it as there ?


any help appreciated

Have you tried plugging the drive directly into a sata/ide port?

It might be the hardware in the caddy that's faulty. If it works when connected internally you will just need a new caddy

i had an 500gb Western Digital with that problem they said its as form the power cable, i send it to waranty and they retrive my money back, becouse that model was some power bugs. Now i got it an 1tb Imoga and it very nice!!

Go to your shop to see if you have any warantys,

PS. they already recovered my data from my old HD.
