    laptop start up problems

    hello all
recently my lappy would not startup at all,,the battery is fine and the battery light was on so i know the charger is ok aswell,,,but the lappy would not even attempt to boot up,,,anyway i managed to search the net via phone and read a post that advised to take out the battery hold the start button for 10 seconds after which time put the battery back in and switch on,,,,to my amazement it fired straight up no problems whatsoever,,,,,could somebody explain in simple terms what went wrong with my lappy please ? is this the start of a more serious problem creeping in
any info anybody may have would be much appreciated

Is possible that the power module freezed, if you don't know electronics the explanation is useless, by unplugging it and pressing the power button for few seconds, all the current present in the passive/active components have been consumed, so usually this king of reset works, but sometimes not.

Make sure your power cable is plugged, and the recharge led is on.
