What can here be the problem with this LCD monitor?

    Hi!
I started my computer and I got this screen on my Samsung 740N LCD monitor:

In the upper half there is picture if I boot into win but in the under half where you can see some whitening there is no picture.

I try another LCD on my PC and it is working, but with my LCD not.
Can somebody give an advice where to search the problem in the monitor?

Is it maybe the LCD screen or maybe some other part on the motherboard of the monitor?
Power source, maybe some horizontal or vertical driver ic or so?

Thank's a lot for your time.

The backlight invertor seems to be defective.
It sounds like your tubes might have burnt out aswell.
      Get it checked out though..

Yes, I attached the monitor to other PC and the same think is happening... :-(

If the backlight inverter is defect then I should not to have the backlight on. Or I'm wrong?
The backlight "fluor pipe" or what ever it is are working and there is light on.

No, pin broken, all cables are fine, no lcd screen broken, I checked around and see no physical damage on the monitor.

Can it be maybe the horizontal driver ic for the picture? which one stretch the picture along the horizontal axes?
