    cpu speed not right in windows

    just put in another motherboard into my computer and in my system properties on windows 7 my processor speed is displayed at 2.31 but the actual speed of my processor 3.0. my motherboard is a GIGABYTE MA790X-DS4
    and my processor is a 4 core AMD PHENOM II X4 940. had a snoop in my bios and the clock speed is set to 200mhz. is that the problem. could i use a bios update. the latest is a BETA...

        should be fine with it on, to turn it off it's in the bios

          if like u said that cool"n"quiet is making my processor run slow then i do have to turn it off. been on gigabyte's website and in the processor support page my processor is listed as compatable....
