    Clicking from motherboard? Laptop

When i power up my laptop i get nothing on led's for charging. NO power. I hear a small clicking noise from motherboard.

I have removed memory and peripherals etc so i have ruled them out.

Any ideas what it could be?

I also replace the internal ac unit as i thought this was the fault but is nothing to do with that. Power supply and battery works fine in another model same as mine.

don't slate me.. I am in a paranoia mood... I just had LOADs or things go down... toppy, lappy, gas fire, 3 cable boxes, 3 bulbs.... etc
I reckon it is from the Israeli chip people.. self destruct chip, the ones that ~~~~ed up the iranian nuclear plant...

    Ok... paranoia

Sounds like the clicking is coming from the North Bridge Chipset.

Does this mean the motherboards ~~~~ed?

Fixed it. Turns out it was losing power on board. Changed a resistor and all is good. Back up and running.
