    format external HDD to Fat32.. help please

    i have an external HDD what i want to convert to Fat32 but when i try and change the file system all i get is NTFS or exfat. im running Win 7 home premium. any help please..??

        you could also try fat32format. enter this name into google and run under the run command.

          hard disk format

          Was going to suggest fat32format also....great little proggy.

            let's say that you want to format your D drive.
            Press on the WINDOWS button on your keyboard and the "r" key at the same time. In the windows that will open type "cmd" without the quotes.

            You'll have the DOS prompt that will open. Here you type :

            "format D: /FS:FAT32"
            and again without the quotes

              U can also use the command convert fs in cmd window.

                just remember the convert fs command work like :

                fat to fat32 or fat32 to ntfs

                  a certain backup manager for a popular console also has the capability to format in several different formats.
