can any help my latop stop working i took it apart and found the dc part was all black so i got a new 1 from ebay put it in and it still dont power up when i put the charger in the power light flash on and thats it was working fine not been dropet or anything like that any help plz ????/

the dc part being all black as you say is probably only part of the problem, you may have fried another part of the mainboard before the DC socket overheated and burned out.

However, this could just be a case of a power adapter being knackered, just because the light is on does not mean it is kicking out the correct voltage/amps/watts etc.. do you know anybody with a multimeter that can test it for you, the values of its required output will be printed on a sticker on underneath the charger. It is not an uncommon problem but your best place to start next.
