Epson are the Worst support company I have Come Across

This is a conversation with the supposed Epson Support Rep:
The Printer in Question is the top of the range (well price-wise) PX800PW 'All in One' afd= 'automatic document feeder'

    13:49:23 : Connected to etalk.epson-europe.com

    13:49:23 : Session ID: 963297

    13:49:23 : kenneth: Initial Question/Comment: PX800FW, trying to find a repair

13:49:29 : Thank you for connecting to EPSON e-Talk through the EPSON website.

13:49:29 : Genuine EPSON consumables and media can be purchased directly from EPSON through Epson - Store. Home of Genuine Epson Printers, Inks and Paper. EPSON stock the complete range of consumable items for past and present EPSON products including ink cartridges, laser toners and ribbons.

13:49:37 : Daniel Lewis: Thank you for contacting Epson***8217;s UK Customer Interaction Centre. My name is Daniel Lewis

13:49:39 : Daniel Lewis: Hi Kenneth

13:49:59 : Daniel Lewis: How would you best describe your issue?

13:50:18 : kenneth: phoned 2 numbers on your website for repair centres, both are only interested if the product is under warranty

13:50:47 : Daniel Lewis: Ok, what is the issue?

13:51:14 : kenneth: the problem with the printer is adf cogs

13:52:09 : kenneth: this is the second tme i have had this problem, ist time it was repaired under warranty

13:52:54 : Daniel Lewis: Is there an error on the printer itself?

13:53:24 : kenneth: no, i hear the cog screaming

13:53:44 : Daniel Lewis: So it does not feed the paper?

13:54:14 : kenneth: it feeds halfway and then reports paper jam

13:54:53 : kenneth: it appears to be when it transfers drive fron the top rollers to the bottom

13:55:24 : Daniel Lewis: How long have you had the printer roughly?

    13:55:45 : kenneth: about 16 months

13:57:36 : kenneth: Epson sent an engineer about 12 months age for the same problem, i showed my receipt then but cannot remember what i did with it, the product is registered at epson

13:58:19 : Daniel Lewis: Can I take your postcode please?

    13:58:34 : kenneth: #########

14:01:59 : Daniel Lewis: Ok, one moment please

14:03:09 : Daniel Lewis: Have you tried contacting our Epson repair centres?

14:03:43 : kenneth: phoned 2 numbers on your website for repair centres, both are only interested if the product is under warranty

14:05:04 : Daniel Lewis: Ok, it may be cheaper to replace the printer than pay for an out of warranty repair

14:05:44 : Daniel Lewis: We do have the PX720W available for #149.99

14:06:51 : kenneth: hold on, I ony have a screaming cog on the adf, can that not be repaired?

14:07:29 : Daniel Lewis: Yes, but it will be charged in out of warranty service

14:07:46 : kenneth: I know I never said it was in warranty

14:08:10 : kenneth: where do i get it repaired which was my original questeion

14:08:24 : Daniel Lewis: Sorry I meant it will be charged as an out of warranty repair

14:08:34 : Daniel Lewis: For details of your nearest Epson Express Centre, please go to Epson - Support and click on 'FIND A REPAIR CENTRE' at the bottom of the page. Enter your postcode or town name in the 'Find a repair centre' search box and a list of your nearest Epson Express Centres will open, including contact details and a local map.

14:09:30 : kenneth: please read this conversation previous entries THAT IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOT, one of them is a private house

14:11:11 : kenneth: Daniel, with all due respect, you are either holding multiple conversations or your in the wrong job, you answer questions not asked or ask me questions that i have already answered

14:11:39 : Daniel Lewis: Ok, the only information I have is that support page that I have sent you

14:13:59 : Daniel Lewis: We have had no response from you. If you still require assistance, please confirm by entering text and pressing your enter key to send your response to us.

    14:14:42 : kenneth: i am still here

14:15:26 : kenneth: I am asking astraightforward question, where can I get my printer repaired given the response of the so called reapir houses

14:15:55 : Daniel Lewis: You will need to contact them directly Kenneth

14:16:18 : kenneth: You are not Epson?

14:16:49 : Daniel Lewis: The repair centres are independent retailers acting on Epson's behalf

14:17:26 : kenneth: Surly not if they do not offer a reapir if it needs parts

14:17:54 : Daniel Lewis: That is correct

14:19:24 : Daniel Lewis: We have had no response from you. If you still require assistance, please confirm by entering text and pressing your enter key to send your response to us

End of Conversation, WHY CARRY ON FLOGGING A DEAD HORSE?

If the unit is not under warranty, then the Epson nominated repair houses do not want to know, 'Cant get the Parts' is their response.I will look at binning it I think, ?387.00 and ?280 of ink for 14 months, now that's not support as I know it
