    install xp on dv7-4176

    Hi Guys.

This is not really my favourite terrain, and i a bit lost with it...

    Bought a new HP Pavillion dv7-4176 running Windows7 64-bit

Its just fine for lot of stuff...but for most car related stuff i will need XP

So i created new partition to install XP without uninstall W7

So i took my XP Pro...put it in...and i get directly an error...

    Is this Bios related?
Will i be able install it somehow?
    Do i need XP 64-Bit?

error tells some file missing....someone had same problems?

    All help apreciated.

    Best regards from Garage

Try installing a dual-boot, follow this link from microsoft it will explain a bit better
Dual Boot Between Windows XP and Windows 7 | TechNet Edge

it says it's for win7 beta but should work pretty much the same I think, not very up to scratch with 7 Im still on xp, if you do a search for dual-boot xp and 7 you should find load of info hope this helps
