    no sound at all

    i have a foxconn winfast mcp61sm2ma motherboard it has onboard realtek sound 5.1 channel, Realtek ALC861 (HDA) it has no digital outputs just 3 analogue connectors. i upgraded the driver and now i got no sound. it shows nothing wrong with driver but it shows sound as s/pdif which i don't have

    go into control panel and look for the sound icon from there you should be able to change the output from spdif to speakers.

      Or you can do it from the tray,
      right click on speaker icon
      then click on "playback devices"
      and change to speakers from there.

        i have looked at the tray no option to change only showing s/pdif
