    Java uninstall issues

    Hello all,

I am having issues with uninstalling Java, I keep getting error 2203, something about windows installer error. 2 different versions are currently installed (one being x86).
I read online that old versions can be a potential security risk and is advised to uninstall them and install the most current version.

I tried, after the failed uninstallation of both, to install the newer version of Java but I get the same error. It also says to check and verify the path and file are good. Both the path and file are good.

I also tried uninstalling in safe mode to no avail.

    Any ideas?

I went in and followed the instructions but this applies to XP. I went to the regedit as it said but no luck. Also, at microsoft.com, the only windows installer downloads are for xp and older...at least that is what I saw.

I appreciate your help greatly though.

downlaod the trial version of your uninstaller ( time limited but works fully)

Run the un-install from Your Un-installer. If it asks to restart your system click no, then let un-installer do the rest, follow on screen instructions. after un-installer has finished, then restart your PC.

        Download Your Uninstaller!

Ok, I got it fixed. I found this fix here, all it was was a folder permissions issue under SYSTEM. I appreciate all your help.
