    No internet conection

I lads i was helping a friend with his Fujitsu siemens xp pro laptop that was running so slow i think it was going backwards i couldn't do anything with it not even in safe mode,so i used the kaspersky rescue CD and it worked fine finding virus, worms,Trojans and adware then i used malwearbyts from a usb stick and found some more,PC is running quick smart now but for one thing i cant conect to the net the wireles not workin and when i try connect directly thrugh the cable its wont work.so i go to device manger and under Network adapters 11 are yellow so i try update them but no good, iuninstall and then reinstall i get the (found new hardwear wizard install the softwear automatically recommended)( a box pops up the file bcm4sbxp.sys' on broadcom 440x10/100 integrated controller install disc is needed,
type the path where the file is located and then click ok,

    copy files from
    ointergratednetworkcontrollerlan/lan/drivers/winxp browse

i press ok but noting happens

when i cancelle i get another box tht says cannot start hardwear
    click finish

looks like the drivers have been uninstalled/or corrupted from the network card.
Go back into the device manager and right click on the card with the yellow triangle then click "uninstall"
restart the machine and it may install the drivers itself, if not try the program in the link below. If that fails go to the manufacturers website for the card or the fujuitsu website and download a new driver.

this program here may have the correct drivers for the card

normally I would do a fresh install as a last resort as windows repair can normally fix most minor faults but I think in this case a fresh install as cunny has suggested, may be your best bet. If the drivers are not installing from the program linked in post no 3 then I would say you have major problems still.

In all cases, i do a new format and fresh instal of OS, clears clutter, update drivers ect.

I regulary format my pc and laptop just have important files backed up on another hard drive to make life so mch easier.

In this case, with the viruses/malware its highly recomended that you do a clean instal, you dont know how much damage the malware could have done to system files ect.

If you back anything up, before restoring it to the laptop, i would run a virus scan on it.

You would use the same drivers for xp home as you would xp pro so that wont be the problem mate. Seen as the device looks ok in device manager all should be ok, see if you can scan for wireless networks (control panel> network connections>right click on - wireless network connection>choose - view available wireless networks. Also check your friend has no driver or specific install discs for the laptop.
