Hi Mate, You getting to the thinkpad bios screen?

I use to work on these and they sometimes got stuck on the bios screen and the only thing we could try was to update the bios. They are known not to switch and and you have to remove the battery plug, remove charger and then put the battery back on.

If you could provide soe ore info I will be more than happy to try and help.

      hi

it doesnt even come on , the battery is not on it as it doesnt work anyway , when you press the power button the little plug symbol goes of , so there are no lights showing where the signal, bluetooth and harddrive lights are , to power up i have to catch it right by pulling the power in and out of the back of the laptop and pressing the power button ...

      thanks

Never seen that but wold point me to a faulty connection on the power connector on the system board. Nothing that i can think can be tried for this apart from a new system board as it is connected directly.

2 things to try woud be if you can find someone with a lenovo charger and you could eliminate it being your charger

you could buy a docking station as it powers through the connector on the bottom rather than the power socket.

Cant guarantee either would wrk though and a docking station could set you back about ?30.
