How to stop Data execution prevention keeps popping up ????

hi need some help please just got new pc and have 4 external hard drives running of usbs to my media player and every time i go to 1 of these drives this Data execution prevention popping up saying there is an error is there any why to fix this ??? thanks guys

First let's be clear: Data Execution Prevention, or DEP, isn't something you "remove" or "get off your machine". It's simply a feature that can be turned on or off, or be configured.

Turning Off DEP
You can, if you like, turn off DEP completely.

• Right click on My Computer
• Click on Properties
• Click on the Advanced tab
• Click on the Settings button in the Performance section
• Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab

Select the item labeled "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only". This, effectively turns off DEP for everything else. Your image viewer should now work.

Thats what i found when i had a look around...

DEP is a security feature and the popup is happening because of your apps is misbehaving or is trojan.

You can disable it but I would first have a look at what is causing it.

Maybe have a quick scan with a program called MalwareBytes? Just in case it is some nasty trojan trying to do something.

thanks guys did all the scans and found notting inthe eand had to trun it off and only thing on the drives where mkv movies
