Debrand Samsung J630 (A561 in Australia)

I have an unlocked Samsung J630 - branded by 3 Italia (Tre. Tariffe, telefoni cellulari, internet key.).

It is known as the A561 in Australia.

I haven't come across anything on the net and this was not a very popular phone but I thought I'd ask before I bring it to a phone shop.

    thanks in advance

I'm sure that the A561 is not exactly the same!

    samsung firmware

    J630_PMHE1.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

This site has Polish flash file but it contains English!

    GSMPL.COM

    Downloader:
    NOKIA PHONE SOLUTION: Downloader v5.33

I've never done one of these myself but I think it's similar to the Z400... Using USB cable and if I recall you put your phone into download mode by holding the 9 key (with phone switched off) and inserting the USB cable.

You'll need to have installed Samsung PC Suite to ensure the drivers are loaded.

Be aware that a flat battery, cable disconnected or the like can render your phone useless!!

I've had a quick look around & can't find anything in my usual haunts.

If Jim's right with the Downloader v5.33, this supports the F480. Taking that it's all correct you will also be able to use the MultiLoader v5.62 (available from samfirmware.com)

If things don't work out for you, don't worry, it's quite hard to brick a samsung. As long as it goes into the download mode it can be recovered. A shop that has the NSPro should be able to download the files needed... But I can't guarentee it at present.

        NSPro does support this phone...

You could semi-brick the ZV-10 as it deletes the IMEI and Bluetooth ID after flashing!!

Luckily there is a code that lets you enter both via the phone keyboard. Sadly unless you know the BT ID you have to guess but the IMEI is on the lable of course.

I've done a few F-480's via Downloader 5.33 without any problems and the task is reasonably quick. Fully charge your battery before you start, then if something should go wrong you still have a near full battery to re-flash again!!

Ya gotta love Samsung. Flashed my first Galaxy S last weekend. 3 minutes 30 seconds from clicking 'start' to 'All files downloaded'

Now running Android v2.3.3 Gingerbread, at times it's just too easy.

You'll need to take it to someone with a NSPro Box or similar, you can't correct without special tools...

Never use codes to unlock Samsung's as they now reset IMEI to 15 x 0's...
