sd hc 16gb memory card

bought this 16 gb sd hc memory card from hong kong,tried to use it in the camcorder i also acquired from hk ,it just won't work tried formatting it ,no joy ,tried it in my camera ,and won't work in there either ,comes up card error in camera ,or file error in camcorder .

sounds like the card is knackered, - it happens.
also check wheather your cam/camcorder accepts sdhc, as this is not the same as sd.

Check to see if the devices that you are fitting the card to actually support 16GB HC microSD. Many do not!

The cut of points on memory are 1GB & 2GB for standard microSD.

For devices that support HC microSD the cut off limits are 4GB & 8GB. Only the very latest devices will support above this!

For example:

Nokia E72 supports up to 16GB HC microSD

Nokia E71 supports up to 8GB HC microSD

Nokia 6303 supports up to 4GB HC microSD

Nokia 6303i supports up to 16GB HC microSD

have you tried plugging it into a PC, to see if it works at all.

if it works in your PC, try formatting it with something like this:

SD Formatter 3.0 for SD/SDHC/SDXC - SD Association

will try this ,i have tried to format on pc ,camera & camcorder ,but it looks knackered .whats the postage back to hong kong ?
