    Unlock HTC Hero

I'm wondering if anyone has yet devised a reliable way to unlock this phone via software?

    Thanks in advance.

You can only get the unlock code from the provider that has locked the phone. You CANNOT get the unlock code from any other network provider.

Most UK networks will supply upon request the unlocking code once you pass 75% of your contract period. There is no maximum period to request a code by.

Pre-pay phones usually need to be connected to the network for around 6-9 months before a code can be requested.

The XTC Clip can unlock & give you a super CID. This allows flashing without rooting & sets to S-off.

Hi,you can unlock your mobile by unlock codes..the safe and best way of unlocking is by unlock codes and my personal request is that don***8217;t go for software unlocking because sometimes the software might get corrupted and may your data will be lost due to that, its my bad experience so I went for unlocking by codes from theunlockspot.com and unlocked.you can too try but see to that whether your country and provider is listed..because for some service only codes are available..check with that and if your country's provider is listed then get codes and unlock your mobile..

I thought this was spam given the copy & paste error.

The only unlock that's not recomended for long term use is via rooting the phone.

There are now a couple of unlocking boxes out there that will unlock & give the super CID, safely with no risks involved.

I would reccomend this type of unlock over just a code as it unlocks further potential for the future use of the phone.

Hi Canker_Canison, which would you consider to be the best all round box available for HTC unlocking ?

            Cheers in advance

It's all open to debate, but we have the XTC Clip.

But there is a rumor going round that there's a new box on the way from Rascal, hence the sudden drop in the XTC clip price.

We might be looking at a box that unlocks, S-off & Super CID without having to create the gold card first.
In effect, goldcard on the fly with a single click start.
