    Unlocking a blackberry

When you unlock a blackberry, do you lose any of its features?

Saw the free blackberry unlock codes on here, and been offered a Bold 9700 from a friend as they've had a upgrade. It's currently on Vodafone, and I'm on o2. But if i'll lose features like the internet, etc, its not worth it.

    Thanks

I think you'll lose Vodafone Live but the Blackberry browser will still access the internet OK.

You will need a Blackberry Internet subscription or the browser may not work at all.

Most pre-pay services allow for Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) on a month by month basis. Here in South Africa it costs R59 {about ?5) per month. All browsing including Facebook etc., is included in the subscription.

Without a BIS subscription the phone is just a basic phone with a camera and MP3 player!

      Thanks for the information.

I pay for internet on my phone anyway, so will just have to update the tariff
