can anyone advise me on how to remove the password prompt from a blackberry pearl 8110...i have tried replacing the policy by editing registry etc but it is still there...any advice would be appreciated..

Also entering the wrong password ten times will force a Security Wipe which is effectively a full factory reset.

unfortunately not jim or at least not in my case...entering the wrong pass more than the set attempts(you can change this) does wipe the handset but prompts you for a new password afterwards..even if you regedit to force a new policy to the handset...

the tool i posted above performs a full factory reset(among other things)via usb cable and allows you to disable the password prompt thus allowing the reading of mep etc and access to other advanced options that are previously locked.
