    Nokia certificate

Does anyone knows where to get nokia certificate?

I have tried some of the sites but it looks like they don't provide cert/keys any more. I need it to hack my N96. Thank in advance!

I want to be able to use Garmin Navigation, N-Gage games or some apps that can not be used without certificate. That is what I mean when I tell "hack".

The certificates are similar to developer licenses. They allow you to test apps prior to release.

In effect bypassing the restrictions set in place to stop people ~~~~ing about with Nokia's sh!t. Or, an official way to jailbreak/root a phone.

I thought that you were trying to doctor the flash on the phone! Only a very, very brave or crazy man would do that!

If you know someone with the same phone with the application installed you could probably back it up and transfer to your phone...

I assume that you collect non-working phones?

                No, you wrong...
Hacking of Symbian based phones is not so hard work...
Offtopic - I'll explain in more details to understand me! I'm from Bulgaria, this is a very small and very poor country. Here, only large corporations use licensed software and everybody ellse hack, crack and do wonders to use free software. This is not because we are scoundrels at heart, this is because we can not buy software and bread, just no money for both.

                  Explain your hacking!

If by this you mean hacking the firmware, then you will end up with either a very unstable phone or more likely a dead handset!

If you mean hacking programs that run on Nokia handsets, then it really isn't hacking but rather cracking...

Like a few of us on this forum, I work full time on cellular handsets and I am fully versed as to what can and can't be done!

You're right! between hacking and cracking an difference! I mean modifying the original firmware for better performance and full access to system folders and files, and thus able to install unsigned applications.

You don't need to modify anything to do this! Just go into setting and turn off "Signed Only" and set it to "All" and that's it.

Access to 'system' folders can be done via programs like Mobiledit and the like.

It is impossible to modify BB5 firmware as the phone would at best simply give an error or not even switch on! You might have modified DCT-3 or even DCT-4 Nokia firmware but no one has ever hacked BB5 Symbian firmware - Ever!
