I've tried to get flash channels playing on my phone (model no GT S5830) without success. I'm on android 2.3.3. I basically want to watch football streaming and bbc iplayer when I'm out. Is there any way I can do this, thanks in advance

Pretty certain iplayer needs a wifi connection before it will connect.
Not sure on the other services.Canker

Apparently the iplayer needs adobe flash 10.2 to run, but the android market wont let you download it because the processor in the phone is not fast enough. I reckon if you can instal adobe 10.2 or higher seperately you might have a chance.Comment

Johnboy is right, 800MHz just ain't big enough for flash... According to those in the know.
Bit of a strange on though. I'm sure I had the Iplayer on my I8910 (Omnia HD) & that was a 800MHz processor. Although the Omnia HD ran on Symbian not android.Canker

I got a hold of adobe 10.2 and iplayer from 4shared.com and instaled them. The application starts up and shows the programmes, but when you select what you want to watch there is no play option so the screen stays blank. I have tried with adobe 11 flash too same problem. I just dont think this phone will be able to play iplayer.Comment

Been searching around and apparently adobe will be releasing an arm6 player which will work with galaxy ace next year, dont know if it will suppoert iplayer though. Cannot find out any info about how rooting will get adobe flash or iplayer on the phone.
apparently you can watch iplayer through the skyfire browser available on android market. I will check this out tomorrow.Last edited by johnboy1974; 16 December, 2011, 23:12.Comment
