my advice mate. sell it on ebay as locked to voda sell it for more than 43 you are in profit.

i wouldnt pay 30inc postage to a shop ontop of this for a 9500 storm. its an old model so you could just buy another one on fleabay for less than the overall cost and you will be protected by paypal anyhow on the new one...

we have unlocked quite a few storms and have never had the issue like yours..

just checked yes its defo 0mep

Using the blackberry desktop manager you connect the phone then search the RIM files on the pc for the vendor file. Delete it then update the firmware.

I've missed one of two steps out, but a google search will give you everything I've missed. I think Jim posted a tut on debranding a blackberry.

you dont need a simcard you can do it without but if it asks if you want to unlock it then chose yes, not all blackberrys let you do this so simply take battery out and put back in it shld ask for the code with the 3 mobile sim... put the mep2 code in 16 numbers

use the mep tool to get the mepcode then simply use the blackberry tool for the mep2 code to unlock it

It's also possible the phone doesn't have the 3G compatibility you need for it to work on 3.
