There are no free solutions to unlocking that phone.

Your best option would be to contact orange & see what they want to charge.

If you want to search the internet you need to find a service for SL3 unlocking. But it won't be cheap.

Thanks darling but it was worth a try. I was told it could be unlocked but for ?20. So looks like that my only option. Happy New Year x

?20 is pretty cheap for an SL3 unlock. I'd check with whoever gave you that price that they know it's SL3 protection.
Unless of course it was the network that gave you it.
