I am going to spain a few times this year, and i would like to use my smartphone whilst i am there to make calls and surf the web etc. Can anyone recommend a good PAYG sim for spain that will give me unlimited web access ( for accessing slingbox abroad ) and cheap calls ? I have seen some sims that will charge about a flat rate for web access all day long, but not sure if they are any good....Cheers
Best 3G sim card for Spain ?

Spanish sims
I go to Spain quite a few times a year and use Vodafone, only because people know the mobile number. I am told by spanish locals that the best and cheapest sim is "Yoigo". I'm not sure if you are aware but using a PAYGO sim in spain has changed. You need to produce a copy of your passport and have an address that the sim can be registered with in order to purchase one. If you want to keep the sim going for a long period I gather Yoigo are far more relaxed at only puting on a small amount of credit.Comment

Thanks for the hilarious comment...
...but i am after someone who has actually used tried and tested spanish sim cards....so i can get some real feedback, rather than taking a gamble on something i may never even get delivered ! I dont know how you can recommend something that you may not of used, and relied on a quick google search.

Many users here (South Africa) have UK SIM cards and provided roaming is enabled, which is almost certain with Vodafone SIM's then sending a SMS once every 60 days will ensure the card and therefore number stay active!
The thing with Vodafone is that it's a global company and all of the Vodafone services I have used in Europe and Africa have all offer equally good service! Including small countries like Lesotho...Comment
