blackberry wont turn on

any help would be appreciated,

was my sons phone, was working fine a couple of weeks ago, he got a new 1 so a put it in a drawer, got it out to flog today and it wont turn on, have tried charging it no good??

if u connect it to blackberry desktop software does that see it,might need software reinstalling on it.or u could try a new battery if all else fails

if the red light come on take battery out plug into charger and wait a little bit the fone will half boot and will say the battery not inserted leave charger in an put battery in after this will sort the boot cycle out but i would update via desktop etc

hi thanks for advise a plugged it into lappy waited till red light went out and pulled out battery, put it back in and got it to boot up after several attempts

got the blackeberry working again thanks for advice, seems all fine now,

just 1 more thing though how ya change the time n date n stuff on it thanks

Here is a generic reply as you don't state the Blackberry model...

Press Blackberry Button and scroll to Options (a spanner icon)...

Press OK button

Scroll to Date/Time

Press OK button

Change 'Use Network Time: ' to No

Scroll to Time and set correct time.

Scroll to Date and set correct date.

Press Back Button and Select Save

If you have BIS enabled you shouldn't need to set manually...

If you have BIS enabled you shouldn't need to set manually...

it normally lets you just change the date and time after initial boot up so if you get stuck pull the battery and let it reboot up
