Can anyone please point me in the direction for de-branding software for the Samsung Icon s5260 phone please. I hate what Orange do to the phones!!

You should also be able to find drivers, flash program & tut
All three I've listed are UK English, any firmware listed with XX after the phone model is UK English. There are other versions available, but I reccomend XX only.
You will need to join the site before you can download. It's free & there are no other requirements to download what you want.Canker

no its trial and error till you find one with uk widgets. im running a german which has the uk language but all the widgets are uk but i did try a few others with russian widgets...
normally when doing multi loading it will say what file it is rather than picking a whole package drop........bye dkComment

ok thanks the widgets are DTG, Telegraaf,NU.nl, Buienradar, Bol.com, Hyves, RTL News, OV-Info, RTL Gemist, RTL GP, RTL BLVRD.
None of which are of any use to me and are locked.:-(
Only annoying thing is I've just set up everything on the phone how I want it, contact pictures etc.
I think its the CSC file I need to be english

Did you flash all files?
For example this is for Eastern European S5620:
Boot file ---> BOOTFILES
Amss ---> amss.bin
Apps ---> apps_compressed.bin
Rsrc1 ---> Rsrc_S5620_Open_Europe_Slav.rc1
Rsrc2 ----> Rsrc2_S5620(Low).rc2
Factory FS ---> FactoryFs_S5620_Open_Europe_SEB.ffs
CSC ----> CSC_S5620_Open_Europe_Slav.csc
SHP APP ---> ShpApp.app
PFS ---> PFS_S5620_Open_Europe_Slav_SEB.pfs
The CSC file is important to get correct! Plus flashing with ALL 7 files is important!
As RayJay pointed out XX files will have English or XA files as these are both for the UK region.
Your CSC file is S5260XENKD1 and XE are for the old Eastern Block countries like Latvia etc.
Another place to find firmware is http://www.sammobile.com you may have to register (free) first!Comment

I did indeed flash all files.
The CSC_S5620_Open_Europe_Slav.csc
was _XEN.csc within the S5260XXKD1 firm ware and I got that from samfirmware.com so although it does support English language the widgets are not.
So is it xeu.csc I need as I can't it in any of the firmware on samfirmware.

The Open_Europe_Slav.csc file is your problem!

Open_Europe_XEN.csc is what I have (Netherlands)
Could I just re-flash the .csc file with the one from your link I'm downloading or would I need to completely reflash the whole phone?Comment
