BBM on 8520

I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 which i had recently bought off a friend. However it is apparently blocked is there anyway in which I can use BBM, without the BIS settings. Please help as soon as possible as i am really stuck.

well if its blocked then its blocked for a reason. im taking it you mean imei blocked?

this really is not the place for discussions regarding blocked phones is there no dark alleys you know off?
