    can the vodafone 858 smart be unlocked free? thanks nic!!

          It's not listed on my software.

          Who makes it? It should tell you under the battery. Vodafone don't make phones, so look for something else. Even the battery might give it away.

              Just did some research and it's a Huawei U8160 re-branded...

              I don't have anything for these...

                  If you want to unlock via DC-Unlocker it's about two Euro's.

                  You must follow this procedure:

                  HERE is right solution to get phone U8160 readable in DC-unlocker software:

                  - Press power shortly AND after 1-3 second.
                  - press AND KEEP power, volume UP and volume down wait in this position 10 seconds,
                  - Release buttons and connect phone to PC.
                  Android 1.0 appear in down right corner.
                  Now you can install drivers from "PULSE" download it from bellow.

                      Not showing any support for the U8160 either. Could probably do it with a cable on one of my other boxes.

                              Press power shortly in our trade usually means just a quick tap on the on/off button... Usually less than 1/2 a second!

                                              use dc-unlocker its 10 credits if you dont own a dongle but 2 credits if you own a dongle.hoping to get one soon
