EVERY phone i've ever nicked has ALWAYS worked, *#06# - then down to the ~~~~ shop before it's reported.

Under battery should be the VIN number, go to a call box and rattle above off.

as soon as this phone is turned on, it asks for 'security code' and wont even let me type a * or #

OK, flip battery out look for vin number, call anybody if they say it's bent then ebay -
spares or repars - non starter.

can get t4 software from a few places but dont include t4 mobile setup disc/s.

As i said, dont really want to part with ?300 if it dont work, I am a gambler but been stung a few times lately (mainly by ting tong b4startd, so my cash pot is a little shy at the moment.

Just to add an explaination to drbox' process...

If followed correctly it should allow you to flash/install new firmware onto the phone. With luck this will reset the phone code.

Or you can try another shop. ?30 is way to much, even for an S3 handset. Call around, anyone with activations on UB, Cyclone or MT Box should be able to do this. Fenix & ATF Nitro might also be able to reset the code.
