I have a nokia 201 and was wondering if I can get an unlock code here or will I have to go to the fone shop to get it sim free?

I got the code from my mobile provider but they said all phones follow different formats to unlock them.
have tried to enter the code but keep getting "code error"
does anyone know where I can get instructions to unlock this phone?

Nokia BB5 Code Input Instructions

1 - Switch ON your phone without SIM Card
2 - Compose #PW+CODE+1#

To get letter P press * button quickly 3 times
To get letter W press * button quickly 4 times
To get letter + press * button quickly 2 times

3 - The phone show "SIM Restriction Off" and was unlocked !
Note: your unlock code is normally 15 digits long.

Have tried that but keep getting "cannot undo restriction"
is there anything I can do now?

It sounds like all of your code attempts have been exceeded and I its unlikely that the counter can be reset...

Probably wont work because you don't have a FBUS cable!

Also, there is a risk of damaging the SIM lock data... The result of this is a 'Contact Service' display - Forever!
