Probably your cheapest route is to buy a phone with a smashed LCD... BUT there are 10 versions of LCD display and until you have the unit open and the LCD removed you wont have a clue if its the same version as yours! By and large you'll probably only see V4, V7 and V10. So its a one in three chance of being correct!

The really quick and dirty method is to buy an external charger and a spare battery...

thx for reply we did buy spare battery and external charger but now her phone has won't go past the startup screen, someone did say it probably needs an update but with the usb / charge point being faulty we can't update if that is the case.

I have soldered them on in the past.... DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!

This requires access to a hot air gun and not the sort of thing you can do with a B & Q soldering iron!

Might be work asking around if someone knows a reputable independent dealer to do the job.

I'd offer but the airfare would be ten times the cost of the phone!!

Why does it worry me when a site trying to sell Blackberry parts jumps on the Apple bandwaggon of putting an 'i' infront of everything.
            It's not called an IBlackberry!!!!

As Jim said, try to find a 9300 with a smashed screen. But don't look at Ebay. Most of the 'faulty' phones are put on by retailers/shops that can't fix a board fault. Most will be listed stating the battery was dead & the screen smashed so couldn't check the phone was working 'sold as spares/repair'.
It's just not worth it. I've seen loads where people have wanted a screen replacing only to find out the phone is blocked.
